A tired four-bedroom terrace stripped back and rebuilt as a family home, with original detail restored.
The brief
The owners had bought a house with every original feature intact and every service at the end of its life. They wanted a modern family home without losing the character that made them buy it.
Our approach
We sequenced the strip-out around the features worth keeping, protected the cornicing and floor tiles in situ, then rewired and replumbed before a single wall was skimmed. Sash windows were remade in our workshop to the original profiles.
The outcome
Handed over in week sixteen against a sixteen-week programme, with certificates, warranties and a snagging list closed out before the family moved in.
