Full housing renovations: common questions.
Most full renovations of a two- to four-bedroom house take between 8 and 20 weeks. The exact programme depends on structural work, lead times for kitchens and windows, and building control inspections. We issue a dated programme with the quotation.
Internal renovation work usually does not need planning permission, but it does need to meet Building Regulations. Extensions, loft conversions and work to listed buildings or in conservation areas may need consent. We advise on this at survey stage.
Yes. We phase the work room by room, keep essential services running and protect furniture and floors. Some stages, such as a full rewire, are quicker and safer if the property is empty for a short period.
